Permitted total weight
The bike's permitted total weight is in the registration certificate. It covers the bike with rider, passenger and all luggage. Add it up before a long trip fully loaded, and never exceed the limit. If you tow a trailer, you also must not ride faster than 80 km/h where the limit is higher.
the sum must be within the limit
Example
The bike weighs 230 kg, you 85 kg, your passenger 70 kg and the luggage 30 kg. The permitted total weight is 420 kg.
. It is allowed, but with a small margin.
Fully loaded, the bike is much heavier to handle at low speed. Practise a little in an empty car park before the trip.
