The road to a licence
First you take the basic traffic course, which must be completed before you can practise driving. From 16 you can practise with a driving school and with a private supervisor. The training has four stages with compulsory courses, including safety courses on a track and on the road. Then you take the theory test, and when you are 18, the practical driving test.
Example
You want to practise with your aunt.
She must be at least 25 and have held a car licence continuously for at least 5 years. The car must have L plates, and she must carry her licence and be sober.
Practise a lot and in different conditions: darkness, rain, town and country roads. Experience is what makes you safe.
